The first pillar of Islam

The first pillar of Islam is when you first become a Muslim and you must say there is only one god and Mohamed is his messenger or in Arabic ashhdu an la ilaha ila lah wa ashhadu ana mohamedan abduhu wa rasululuh. some people have mistaken it and said that when you pray this is what you say but actually when you just start the prayer you say god is greater or in Arabic allahu akbar.

The second pillar of Islam

The second pillar of Islam is to pray 5 times a day. There a names for each prayer the first prayer is when you get up which is Fajr the second prayer is Duhr in the after noon the third prayer is Asr between the afternoon and sunset the fourth prayer is Maghreb prayed at sunset and last Esha at 9 or 10. alot of people think that that's to much prayers but actually along time ago people had to pray 50 prayers a day and people didn't do so well with that so one of the prophets went to Mohamed and told him to ask god to lower the prayer so they did 45 and people still asked to lower it till it got to 5 prayers and people still couldn't do it so they asked again and Mohamed said i cant this is asking to far.

The third pillar of Islam

The third pillar of Islam is to donate a special amount of money to the mosque who use the money to either build or improve the mosque give to the poor or for debts.

The fourth pillar of Islam

The fourth pillar of Islam is fasting which is when you don't eat for an amount of time which in particularly for Muslims the month of Ramadan is when we fast from sunrise ( fajr ) to sunset ( Maghreb ) and you cant drink or eat that whole time Then at Maghreb you get to have a big meal.
